YOUNG BRINGS
FORCE TO PHARMA
MANUFACTURING

The William D. and Sherry L. Young Institute for the Advanced Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals promotes innovations that lead to better access to medicines and lower costs.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing is the critical link that puts new drug therapies in the hands of the patients who need them. At the Young Institute, we’re revolutionizing pharmaceutical manufacturing, making medicines more accessible, more affordable, and more widely available.

Elizabeth Topp

High-impact research

Through the Young Institute, Purdue works to improve technology efficiency, a key part of a national effort to manufacture more medicines in the United States.

One Health

Advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing is an important research focus of Purdue’s One Health initiative, which involves research at the intersection of human, plant and animal health and well-being.

Life Sciences Summit

The Young Institute is a co-sponsor of the annual Indiana Life Sciences Manufacturing Summit, which gathers industry, academia, state and local governments, and other relevant organizations to promote life sciences manufacturing, research, education and business development. The event in Indianapolis examines such issues as workforce development strategies and how to forge global solutions with regional resources.
